Welcome to our Online Lectionary Group - intro

By Larry D. - Posted on 23 March 2009

Welcome!

We have a regular "in person" Monday morning Lectionary study group that meets at Faith, but we understand that not everyone is able to attend.  So this online space is an attempt to bridge that gap.

Please feel free to lurk or post as you wish.  Always be respectful of other persons' faith understanding and journey.  And don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you give answers.  That's a key point for us.  Bible study usually brings far more questions than it answers!

Logging in...
In order to participate you'll need to get a log in for our site.  On the homepage go to the User Login box on the left side and click the "Create New Account" link.  Fill in the information and click "Create New Account".  Within a day or two our web-master will send you an email to complete the registration.

To protect us from comment spam you'll be asked to type the "captcha" text as you post to verify that you're a real person and not an internet spam robot!!

Enjoy!

Here are some bible study links that we find helpful in learning about the upcoming Sunday's readings:

The Text This Week is a treasure house of great links for learning.  There are commentaries, blogs, group studies, sermons, all sorts of things.  Truly awesome!

Working Preacher is a site aimed at ministers but yields really interesting insights

Process and Faith Lectionary is a resource written from a theological viewpoint called "Process Theology".  Highly recommended!

Rumors (Ralph Milton's site) is rich in imagery and reflection.

Daily Discipleship is a ELCA site that isn't exactly a "daily" resource, but it does give good discussion questions for (usually) the gospel text for each week.
